I completed my doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Calgary, prior to which I completed bachelor’s degrees in psychology and dance. My pre-doctoral residency was with the Edmonton Consortium Clinical Psychology Residency program.
Integrity, sincerity, and an ethic of care are at the core of my practice. I strive to honour the parts of your human experience that are sensed and felt, but not easily described, and to work collaboratively to move forward in a way that is aligned with your values, goals, and the unique circumstances of your life. I consider it a profound privilege to work with individuals as they gain insights into the nature of their emotions, thoughts, behaviours, experiences, relationships, and wellbeing. My goal is to be fully present in our work together, and to create a space where you feel genuinely heard, respected, and safe. I am committed to providing trauma-informed, neuro-affirming, culturally responsive and anti-oppressive care.
I have worked with individuals navigating symptoms of depression, anxiety, and PTSD, cultural and environmental stressors, chronic health issues, operational stress injury, and trauma. I integrate evidence-based approaches, including cognitive-behavioural therapy, emotion-focused therapy, exposure-based methods, dialectical behaviour therapy and solution-focused approaches. Understanding you and your therapeutic needs is my priority. Together, we can find an approach that fits you.
I have conducted comprehensive psychological assessments for adults and youth in community and forensic settings, including autism assessments, psychoeducational assessments and assessments to aid in diagnostic clarification, mental health, and cognitive functioning. I am passionate about the ways assessment can help individuals understand themselves in new and different ways, answer longstanding questions about the ways they experience the world, and access necessary supports in their lives.
In my free time, I love doing things that make me lose a sense of time, including dancing, reading, exploring arts in the city, taking naps, and spending quality time with loved ones.
