Virtual Therapy for Kamloops
and the Thompson Region
Licensed BC clinicians by secure video, without the drive down the Coquihalla
Kamloops is roughly four hours from Vancouver by highway, so our Kamloops clients work with us almost entirely by video. You see the same licensed psychologists and counsellors as our downtown clients, from home, your office, or anywhere you have privacy and a reliable connection.
Common reasons Kamloops clients reach out include anxiety, depression, trauma, burnout, sleep problems and substance use. Students at Thompson Rivers University and people working shifts often find video sessions easier to fit in than in-person appointments.
How Virtual Care Works
What you need
A private room, a phone, tablet or computer with a camera, and a stable internet connection. Our teletherapy is encrypted to protect your privacy.
If you need an assessment
ADHD, autism and psychoeducational assessments include in-person testing at our downtown Vancouver office. The interview and questionnaires happen remotely first, so your visit is focused on testing, usually one to three sessions of about four hours.
Keeping your care connected
With your written consent, we can share information with your family doctor or other providers so everyone supporting you is on the same page.

Questions from Kamloops Clients
Can a Vancouver clinic see me in Kamloops?
Yes. Our psychologists and counsellors are licensed or registered in British Columbia, so they can provide virtual care to clients anywhere in the province.
Does therapy work as well over video?
For many people and many concerns, including anxiety and depression, research finds video therapy works about as well as meeting in person. If video is not working for you, your clinician will talk through other options.
Do I have to travel for an assessment?
Yes, for the testing portion only. The interview, questionnaires and feedback session can be done remotely.
What if I need help urgently?
We are not a crisis service. If you are in immediate danger, call 911. You can call or text 9-8-8 at any time to reach the Suicide Crisis Helpline.
Other Areas We Serve
We also see clients from nearby Kelowna and Abbotsford, and from across British Columbia by video. In-person sessions take place at our downtown Vancouver office.
