Psychology Services for Nanaimo
and Central Vancouver Island
Therapy by secure video, and a harbour-to-harbour trip when you need to see us in person
For Nanaimo clients, therapy is usually virtual. You get the same licensed clinicians and the same session structure as our in-person clients, from home or any private space on the Island.
When an assessment needs in-person testing, Nanaimo has good options. BC Ferries sails from Departure Bay to Horseshoe Bay and from Duke Point to Tsawwassen, and floatplanes fly from Nanaimo's harbour into downtown Vancouver, a short walk from our office.
Care from the Island
BC clinicians, Island clients
All our clinicians are licensed or registered in British Columbia, so care is the same whether you are in Nanaimo, Ladysmith or Parksville.
For VIU students
Video sessions fit around classes at Vancouver Island University, and supervised student therapy is available at $120 per session.
Planning a testing day
Let our team know you are travelling from the Island when you book so testing can be scheduled with your ferry or flight in mind.

Questions from Nanaimo Clients
Do you have an office on Vancouver Island?
No. Our only office is in downtown Vancouver. Island clients do therapy by video and travel in only for assessment testing.
Can I switch between video and in-person sessions?
Yes. Some clients start by video and come in when they are in Vancouver anyway, or the other way around. Your clinician will help you find a rhythm that works.
Is video therapy private?
Our teletherapy is encrypted. Choosing a private room and using headphones helps keep sessions confidential on your end too.
Is there a lower-cost option?
Yes. Supervised doctoral students offer therapy at $120 per session, and group therapy is $60 per session.
