Group Therapy

Pacific Maple Psych Centre offers virtual group psychotherapy across British Columbia. Our group therapy is designed to provide a supportive, structured environment where individuals can build skills, strengthen connection, and work through challenges.

In our small group therapy sessions, you will have the opportunity to express your thoughts and emotions while surrounded by others who may share similar experiences. Our groups are designed to help guide and support you as you work toward personal and professional goals.

Regardless of your age or the topic you wish to explore, our group therapy sessions provide a safe and confidential space to express yourself, receive support, and develop practical coping strategies.

Approach

Our group therapy sessions focus on topics such as managing stress, anxiety, depression, panic disorder, and substance use, among others. Other areas of focus may be more general, such as improving social skills and working through personal challenges like anger or low self-esteem. Some of these skills may be practised through role-playing real-life social scenarios.

We incorporate evidence-based techniques such as cognitive-behavioural skills, mindfulness, and real-life exposure to provide practical tools that extend beyond the therapy setting.

Over consistent sessions, these benefits can include deeper interpersonal work, stronger group cohesion, and closer relationships with other group members. Participants are welcome to attend multiple drop-in sessions to gradually experience these benefits.
